Swine flu and schools

As a consequence of the ongoing increase in numbers of people with symptoms of swine flu in our communities, Nottinghamshire’s schools are experiencing an increase of suspected cases of swine flu.

Celebration Event 2008

We held a very successful evening on the 13th of November at our Daybrook  Learning Centre.

Over 180 people attended which included over 50 young people plus members of their family.  These young people and their families had come from across the County to be here for the event, which was a sign of how important it was for them.  Many of the young    people who received awards ranging from GCSE certificates to good attendance awards have had little experience of celebrating their achievements in this way.  All young people on the roll of the NLC often make ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ progress whilst with us.  With the right personalization and planning our  youngsters can do well.
